CouponRani.com - Website Review!

Friday, September 26, 2014

So I have been kindly contacted by the senior SEO of CouponRani.com to do a little review of their website and let you guys know a little bit more about them and what benefits they may have to offer you! Just a little quick disclaimer before I get into the review.. Anything that I write here whether it be good or bad is completely and solely the views of me, myself and I. The members of CouponRani have not influenced me at all with anything that I say, I want you guys to gain an honest opinion of the site and then hopefully you'll be able to gain your own opinion of what they offer. So I guess now I'll just get straight into the review!

CouponRani.com? Who are they?

First and foremost, CouponRani.com is an online website in partnership with Indian companies which offer coupons to the public, you guys; to use and gain discount on really cool stuff such as make-up discount on brands including Maybelline, flight and hotel discounts, food discounts (Now who doesn't want discounted food, right?!) including Domino's! And much much more!

The companies offering coupons are all based in India.. Will they even be of use to me?

The companies may be all based in India and with 80% of my traffic coming from a British audience I did worry a little bit about this myself.. But it turns out they are looking to branch out into European countries such as England and do infact already receive some buyers from the UK!

So does this mean I buy my products directly from CouponRani.com?

CouponRani.com is solely just an advertiser website. They promote these brands onto their site and when you select 'view deal' this automatically activates the offer and sends you straight to the website offering you the deal. This may lead to you having to create accounts on several websites which may be a little bit of a pain but with discounted products at stake, you can't really complain.

I live in the UK, will there be postage and packaging costs?

Just like with most websites, even UK based ones there are P&P costs.. But! Some websites may also include offers on their shipping. As an example if you were interested in purchasing Maybelline products with a 15% discount from Nykaa.com they do say if you spend over 500rps (rupees) they will give you FREE SHIPPING! 500rps may seem like quite a lot but in comparison to pounds, it really isn't! 500rps actually only works out to only being just over a fiver!! Which is pretty amazing if you ask me! And as it stands, the sale price of the majority of these products currently stands at less than £5.

Rupees? But I use pounds! Will they automatically convert during payment?

Payments should be automatically converted, yes. Considering on Nykaa.com for example, deliveries to the UK are classed as a standard delivery, therefore a conversion should automatically take place.

So on the whole, I honestly believe CouponRani.com is a really useful site. They offer coupon codes to thousands of stores, ranging from food, to travel and fashion to health. The conversion price from rupees to pounds is also relatively cheap too which is an even bigger bonus! On the negative side of things however, it is a little bit of a hassle having to be redirected to several pages to purchase your product and then being ordered to create an account on the website you're specifically purchasing from, which may become a little bit of a pain. Each website will completely vary too, the P&P of one website may be cheap as chips whereas the others may be sky high! This does however, apply to all websites no matter where you shop from, so CouponRani gets a big thumbs up from me!

I've also created a list of websites with offers which may be of an interest to you:

So will you be checking out CouponRani.com or maybe you have used the site before.. Let me know your opinions in the comments below!

Until next time..

How To Stay Motivated Keeping Fit After Summer

Monday, September 22, 2014

We all do it. We all lose motivation. We're only human after all. But losing motivation for me, usually takes me back to that stage in life where I feel down and groggy and generally really fed up, I gain a really negative look on everything and convince myself I'm completely incapable. But I'm not. We're not. If you can do something once then you can do it again!

Now I know watching Netflix or YouTube and eating pizza and ice cream whilst lounging around in bed all day may seem a little more appealing but in the long run, is that really what we want to do? Really? I'm hoping that the answer is no, otherwise there won't really be much point to this post... But as well as trying to keep you guys back on track and feeling motivated, I'm doing this for myself too.

During the summer I was really pumped to do well and get fit and I was actually doing well until I became ill and then I went on holiday and my motivation levels just dropped to -94729472.32483 and they haven't yet risen back up again. So here are my tips to help myself out and hopefully you guys too at how to feel a little more motivated again now that the summer is over.

1. Do it for yourself!
Now this has got to be my favorite tip out there. You should never think to yourself that you need to get fit and gain a body for a boy or a girl for that matter or just society in general. At the end of the day it is YOUR body and YOU should love what you are doing for YOURSELF otherwise you might look good but if you aren't enjoying doing it then you aren't going to feel more motivated to carry on and you certainly won't feel more confident in yourself.

2. Progress Pictures
Now this is a pretty obvious one but it definitely works! Being able to see the progress you're making will 100% boost your attitude to working out. This can be adapted to anything. Lacking motivation at school? Collect any test results or homework answers you receive throughout the year, add a little bit of hard work and you'll see an improvement for sure! Just keep at it and you'll fall in love with the ending result.

3. Create a fitness playlist!
Music for me is a big motivator, especially something fast paced and edgy. It just gives you that boost to carry on. Try setting targets for yourself, whether that be completing a run after the 5th song played or see how many reps of 10 you can do of something in a song. You can record your scores and aim to beat them as time goes on. And if you're not a big fan of working out, try dancing! Everyone loves a good dance to their favorite song, exercise can be anything that gets your heart rate up! Also, I know the iPod shuffle is ridiculously old now but the back of it is designed like a clip which you can attach to your clothes which I just thought would be perfect for a run.

4. Science
It has been scientifically proven that exercise releases endorphin's, a natural drug in your body which when released boosts your levels of happiness. If being fit has been scientifically proven to cheer you up, you can't exactly argue with that can you?

5. Eat Clean Train Mean!
Keeping fit doesn't just mean exercise, it relies on diet too. Hand in hand these two factors will leave you with better skin, hair, nails, the works! You won't see results straight away and skincare products might help to get you by but with a cleaner diet and a fitter body, you certainly won't need as many!

So those were my five little tips on how to feel a little more motivated this summer, lastly I just have a couple apps I'd like to talk to you about which will definitely help you with your fitness, I've heard so many recommendations on these so I got them myself and the hype isn't a hype for no reason!

1. 8 Tracks
Are you ever just sat there wanting to listen to something and you're not really fancying anything on your current playlist? Well then, this app is for you! You simply click explore, choose a genre and thousands of ready made playlists will come up for you, this is great when working out as they have themes such as 'Motivation' or 'Workout' and 'Pump Up'. You can even create your own playlist as a little go to if you fancy going on a run anytime.

2. Pump Up

This app is literally your fitness routine in your pocket. You can select whereabouts you are whether that be at home or the gym or even on holiday! (Something I should have done last month..). The app then lets you select which type of equipment you have available and it even works around you having no equipment so there's literally no excuse not to work out!! You can then select a mode and how long you want to workout for oh and most importantly which part of your body you want to work out and voila! A workout is created for you, which I think is so clever! Especially how they have demonstrations on how to do the move it is asking you to do.

So those were my hints, tips and recommendations on how to get yourself feeling motivated for staying fit now that the summer is over and you might not necessary feel you need a body now that there's no excuse to show it off. But just remember to work hard, think positive and most importantly don't give up, good things come to those who wait.

Until next time..

August Favourites

Thursday, September 4, 2014

So summer has now unfortunately come to an end.. I hope you all had an amazing summer, I know I did! I just can't believe how quickly it has ended!! So I thought I would share with you everything I've been loving throughout the main month of summer; August!

Beauty Favourites:

Maybelline 'Dream Fresh' BB Cream in the shade 'Light'

Now throughout the summer I don't enjoy really wearing anything too heavy on my face because it's hot and then throughout the day as I sweat, that just makes you feel kinda gross with a heavy, complete face of make-up. So I like to aim for a little bit of coverage but something that feels fresh and super light weight on my face. Then I found this little guy. I actually only purchased this around a month ago and I'm genuinely in love. Although this doesn't give a big amount coverage (Well it's a BB cream what do you expect?!) it feels super fresh on my face and gives a really dewy, light weight look which I absolutely adore throughout the summer.

Urban Decay 'Naked Basics'

This has been out for a good while now but I actually only just decided to get my hands on it a couple of weeks ago and oh boy, I am in love. Now in my Holiday Make-Up Bag post I said I was going to take Naked 3 along with me however the sizing of this was just far too big so I picked up the Naked Basics palette and settled with that. I was a little bit unsure about this for summer initially, the colors are more on the brown side compared with the shimmery, summery pink tones of Naked 3. However, when on holiday for me personally I just want to make my make-up as natural and fresh faced as possible and the Naked Basics is just perfect for that.

Maybelline Baby Lips - Electro Shock

So this past month Maybelline released the 'Electro Shock' range out here in the UK! I have only tried out three shades so far which are 'Strike A Rose' 'Pink Shock' and 'Oh! Orange!' Just like the original Baby Lips range they smell amazing!! And are perfectly moisturising on the lips. However I was slightly disappointed with the colors of the shades. From a swatch I expected 'Pink Shock' to be bright and neon pink on the lips however it turned out to look like a deep pink/pale red and was surprisingly a really similar color to 'Strike A Rose'. 'Oh Orange!' did live up to its' swatch slightly more than the other two. It's fairly clear with a tint of mango/peach. It's pretty similar to the shade 'Peach Kiss' except it's slightly less pigmented on the lips I think this is perfect if you're wanting a little bit of color yet subtly too.Now you're probably wondering why I'm slating the color of a product yet including in my monthly favorites.. Well the surprisingly different turn out of shades proves these lip balms are perfect for transitioning into the fall season during the next upcoming months, as the plums and deep reds start to work their way onto the beauty scene, I know these three balms will become definite go to's of mine!

DKNY Apple Be Delicious Fragrance

Okay, so I know this is an oldie but it has definitely become a favorite of mine this month. Just like the 'Electro Shock' Baby Lips range, this scent is perfect for transitioning from summer into fall. It has all the perfectly fruity and juicy elements of summer but the overpowering scent of apples just brings it right back into fall for me and reminds me of candy apples and apple bobbing and warm apple pies. I'm in love for sure.

Random Favourites

Extra Dessert Delights

So now the back to school season is kicking in I love to stock up on gum and currently I have been obsessing over the 'Dessert Delights' range. Like not only do they smell good and when they've been left in my bag all day, my bag smells of pretty much a fruity heaven. I don't really have a favorite but the ones I've tried are 'Peach Cobbler' 'Lemon Square' 'Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream' and 'Raspberry Vanilla Cupcake'. I know these are pretty hard to get hold of in the UK but if you live near a Mr Simms Sweet Shoppe or any style American candy store, I would seriously recommend picking these up. They weirdly help with any sort of toothache as well which I guess is pretty good bonus!!

Song Favorite: Milky Chance - Stolen Dance

I was actually watching a youtube video and heard this background of it then a few days later I was at a color festival and this song was then played again and from then on it literally just became my 'summer jam'. I just think this is so chilled out yet has that dance vibe to it as well and it just instantly puts me in a good mood and to me the summer is all about relaxing and this song just does that for me.

Rose Quartz 'Pagan' Style Necklace

If you didn't already know, I went to two festivals this month one of them being 'Pagan Pride' where I bought this beautiful rose quartz necklace. I have wanted a crystal necklace in this color for a long time but I always wanted the pendulum styled ones so I assumed I would be able to find one here but I unfortunately didn't but I just wanted something rose quartz so badly! And I'm so happy I bought this, it can style up any outfit and make it look so put together, I've had so many compliments on this piece. I feel it looks so elegant yet so simple, a beautiful piece which I have been wearing none stop this month!

So that's everything I've been loving this August, were any of these your favourites too? Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time..

What's In My School Bag?!

Monday, September 1, 2014

So many of you I'm sure all went back into school this week. I just started my second year of college, so I'll be completing my final year of A-Levels which is a pretty scary thought!! So I did only start back on Thursday but I had such a busy day on Friday and I haven't emptied my bag since so I thought it would be nice to share with you what are my typical essentials for a day in school.

The Outside Compartments:

Baby Lips in 'Peach Kiss' - I absolutely hate my lips being dry throughout the day so you can always guarantee a lip balm or two is always at hand in my bag.

Illamasqua Glamore Nude Lipstick in 'Naked' - A lot of the time I like to wear a lipstick over a lip balm and these two compliment each other so well. I just think it gives the effect you're wearing a lip-gloss yet is more pigmented and moisturising when you place a lipstick with a lip balm.

Sticky Notes - I haven't even opened these so I'm not quite sure why they're in my bag. But these do come in handy if you remember something during the day, so you can just pop that onto a textbook  or your planner so you don't forget then when you take it out of your bag later, you'll remember!

'Extra' Gum in 'Sweet Watermelon'  - No one likes having bad breath in school so when you can fix that with something that not only does the job but tastes nice you can't complain! I am loving this flavor at the moment too, if you're craving something sweet pop one of these in your mouth and you will be satisfied I promise you! But don't do it in a lesson, teachers really don't like that and besides where are you going to put it when it runs out of flavor halfway through a lesson? Under a desk? Like, really?!

Student ID - This is pretty self explanatory I just need it to get into any buildings in college and to sign myself in and out.

Two Pairs of Earrings - I honestly haven't got a clue why these are in here.. I have pretty sensitive ears and I can't wear cheap earrings for like more than a day so I probably stuffed these in here at the end of a college day, I honestly don't remember..

A Gum Wrapper - Once again, I have no idea.

The Main Compartment:

A Water Bottle - For me this is such a big necessity. I got this one from a pound store and it's honestly like a big capri sun carton, once you've drank the drink it becomes flat so it fits in your bag so easy. And even better, it isn't clear so you can drink literally whatever you want in a class and the teacher is none the wiser!!

A Sociology Textbook - I was given this on Friday in my first lesson back, a textbook is pretty self explanatory. You just need it to get yourself through the year and learn that subject like the back of your hand.

A Pencil Case - Besides paper this is the biggest school must have for me. I cannot stand having pens loose in my bag then having rummage around for them in a lesson so a pencil case is just perfect for keeping all your writing essentials together. If you were wondering, mine is from the sale section in WHSmiths for £3!! It used to be £6 so this was a pretty good bargain.

A Purse - This is something that is always with me wherever I go, cash is necessary in this world so you cannot live without a purse. I personally prefer big purses to smaller ones because you can fit so much more in them and I like having a different section for my notes and coins and then all my cards too. Mine is from River Island, I did buy this almost a year ago so I don't think you'll be able to get it anymore.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte - This is the book I'll be sitting my English exam on this year and I had English on Friday so that explains why it is in my bag I guess.. I'm only halfway through the book but it's alright so far, I actually don't mind it too much. If you've read it before let me know your opinions in the comments below!!

Index Card Holder - This year I have decided for it to be my year. I want to finish on straight A's so badly so I've decided to make my flashcards throughout the year rather than right at the last minute 2 weeks before my exams. This will save me so much more revision time for the end of the year and keeping them all together in a folder is so much more neater, plus they have dividers so I can separate flashcards for different subjects in here which will make me so much more organised!!

An Umbrella - If you have read any of my posts before you will literally be sick to death of how much I complain about the weather in England but it's true, we have so much bad weather, especially rain literally all the time. One minute it's boiling hot the next minute it's pouring it down with rain, so it's best to be prepared. An umbrella over here is literally a life saver.

A Card Template - Okay so, another weird thing in my bag. Well I was making a pin hole camera in photography and me and the cutting knife aren't exactly best friends so I was pretty slow at making this and thought it would be best for me to finish it off at home for my next lesson which is actually tomorrow!!

A Planner - As I say all the time, I love keeping myself organised so this is just where I write down my timetable, any homework tasks I have, any key dates I need to remember. It does tend to come in handy! Mine is from Victoria's Secret Pink, I love how it matches my bag so much!! It's perfect and keeps me well organised.

A Divider - Another organisation best friend of mine. As you can tell I have a lot in my bag already and I do 3 subjects plus R.E and tutorial and this year I'll be doing an EPQ as well so if I can have notes for everything I do in the same place it doesn't only save me bag space but it keeps all together and makes it so much easier to find things.

Booklets - So not only did my sociology teacher give me a textbook but I have 3 booklets just on the first topic of the course as well which is 'Crime and Deviance', incase you wondering.. I also have an English booklet which is an overview of my coursework for this year as that's what we're starting off with first. Then finally I have a booklet about applying to university and writing a personal statement which I was given in form time with hints and tips and all that fabulous information which I just need.

A Perfume - Currently I have DKNY Apple Be Delicious in bag, as I said in my August Favourites I have been loving this fragrance lately and in a full day at school you get hot and sweaty and then you smell and no one wants to be that kid that no one likes because they smell so.. a body spray or a perfume is a must - have for me! I love this one especially because the bottle is quite small so fits in my bag nicely for school.

A Minstrel - Yes.. That's right. A minstrel. I had a packet of these in my bag the other day so it must have just fell out... (Would it be really bad if I ate this right now?!)

Inside Zip Compartment:

Sticky Labels - These come in handy if I get given a plastic wallet and I need to put my name on it or I like putting these in my dividers so I can make it clear which section is for which. As I say, another thing which keeps me in top tip organisation.

A Mirror - This is probably going to make me seem so vain but seriously if I'm applying lipstick throughout the day and I can't see what I'm doing I'm probably going to smudge it, and if I used my phone camera I would probably look like I'm taking a selfie which to me would make me look more vain rather than using a mirror sooo... a mirror it is guys!

My House Key - I usually would have this attached to some keyrings but I don't like keeping things all bunched up in my bag so this is fine loose in the zip pocket. Self explanatory, as always. If there's no one home I can just let myself in, simple!

So that was everything that I have in my bag! That was a lot I know but on a usual day I would have a lot less than that I was just thrown a load of booklets and things as it was my first couple of days back in and I do have a complete full day on a Friday so don't worry, my shoulders aren't dropping off every day of the week thank god!! So let me know in the comments below what are your school bag essentials? Am I missing something really important? I do also usually have some earphones in mine but I borrowed them to a friend and they still haven't gave me them back.. yeah..

Also if you were wondering my bag is from Topshop, it was £34 and as you can see it fits so much in it and probably could fit more in it than that so it's definitely a brilliant buy. They also do this in black so if you're interested, get yourself down to Topshop. I hope you're all enjoying being back in school, I know you're probably not but end of the day it's not hell. Think positively and let's all make this our year to succeed!!

Until next time..
